  • The Redmi Note series has been very important for Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 4 (Review) was the first model that sold in huge numbers, helping the Chinese smartphone giant cement its position in the Indian market. Xiaomi's Redmi Note 7 Pro is another highlight of the series, according to the company. Launched in February earlier this year, the Redmi Note 7 Pro offered impressive performance and good cameras at an aggressive price. Naturally, this puts a lot of pressure on its successor, the Redmi Note 8 Pro. While this new smartphone has been launched nine months after its predecessor, it claims to be better in every measurable way. Will the Redmi Note 8 Pro become the new yardstick for its segment? We put it to the test to answer that.
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro 8GB was launched in October 2019 & runs on Android 9 OS. The Smartphone is available in three color options i.e. Pearl White, Ice Emerald, Electric Light Grey & has a built in fingerprint sensor as the primary security feature, along with the host of connectivity options in terms of 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi, NFC Bluetooth capabilities. The phone is available with 128GB of internal storage.
  • The Smartphone is powered by 2 GHz octa core MediaTek Helio G90T Processor. A 8GB of RAM ensures phone runs smoothly even the most memory intensive applications & still shows no signs of lag. 128GB of internal storage can be expanded to 256 GB via a microSD card.
  • The Phone comes with a powerful 4500 mAh battery to support it's 6.53 inch screen with IPS display having a resolution of 1080 X 2340 at 395 ppi. The screen is also protected by a durable Scratch Resistant glass.
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro 8GB boasts of dual primary camera of 64 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixel and 20 megapixel front Camera. It also support high dynamic range(HDR) imaging.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro flaunts a full view display that stands 6.53-inch tall. It bears a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels along with a sharp density of 395 PPI. The AMOLED display offers an immersive viewing experience.
  •  In terms of optics, the smartphone has 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera that offers impressive photography experience. At the front, a 20MP lens clicks mesmerizing selfie pictures.

Configuration and Storage
  •  Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by a new MediaTek Helio G90T chipset that has been built to provide stable performance while gaming and multitasking. It also has an octa-core processor setup containing a 2.05GHz Cortex A76 dual-core and a 2GHZ Cortex A55 hexacore processors. Further, there is a Mali-G76 MP4 GPU that offers excellent graphics while a 6GB RAM handles smooth functioning.
  •  For storage, it houses 64GB internal memory that can be further expanded up to 512GB with the help of a microSD card.
 Battery and Connectivity
  •  Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a Li-ion battery having 4,500mAh capacity. It can provide an ample amount of power backup to let users stay charged all through the day. Further, it also has the Fast Charging technology that can refill the battery in a short duration.
  • As for the connectivity, it supports 4G VoLTE networks. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Glonass, USB Type-C, etc.
