Realme X2 Pro
Realme X2 Pro
- The Realme X2 Pro is a rumored handset that is likely to come out of the Realme stables in the next few months. As evident from the name, this device seems to be an upgrade to the Realme X2 that was recently announced by the company in China. The Realme X2 Pro will see an upgrade in terms of the processor. At this point, it is not clear if the only change in the Pro version would be the addition of a faster SoC. Current reports suggest that the Realme X2 Pro will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC as opposed to the Snapdragon 730G chipset used on the Realme X2. The other Realme mobile phones you may be interested in are the Realme XT and the Realme X
Large Display, Snapdragon 855 Plus Chipset
- The Realme X2 Pro is likely to get the same display as its lower-spec d sibling. This means that the panel will measure 6.4-inches across and will be of the Super AMOLED type. This display will have a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in the 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has a PPI density of 403. The handset also gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection for added durability. Unlike the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset used on the Realme X2, the Realme X2 Pro is serious about its ambitions as an affordable flagship and will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. This is an overclocked version of the standard Snapdragon 855 and is famous for being used on handsets like the ASUS ROG Phone 2 and the OnePlus 7T.
Multiple RAM and storage options
- Like its sibling the Realme X2 Pro will be offered in multiple RAM and storage versions. The standard Realme X2 comes in three versions; a base 64GB version with 6GB RAM, a 128GB version with 8GB RAM, and a top end 256GB variant that gets 8GB of RAM. There is a good chance that Realme will retain these same variants for the Realme X2 Pro. There is, however, also a good chance that the company could go all out and also present a 12GB RAM variant.
Large Battery, Quad Rear Cameras
- The Realme X2 Pro is likely to feature a large 4,000 mAh battery just like its lower priced sibling. There has been demand from fans, however, to provide at least a 4,500 mAh battery with the device. Another demand is that it should come with a 65W fast charger. It remains to be seen if the Realme X2 Pro would really come with these additions. The camera setup on the Realme X2 Pro is likely to be identical to the one on the Realme X2. This means that it will get a quad camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera mated to an f/1.8 wide lens with support for PDAF. The secondary camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor mated to a 13mm ultrawide angle lens with f/2.3 aperture. The third camera is a dedicated 2-megapixel sensor for macro shots. This camera uses an f/2.4 lens. The fourth sensor is a dedicated 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, the handset gets a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Display
- You get a 6.5-inch Fluid AMOLED display, similar to the one found on the OnePlus 7T. The screen resolution is set at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Realme has also opted for a 90Hz display on the phone, same as the OnePlus 7T. The display also supports HDR10+ and features an eye protection mode.
- You also get an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and a U-shaped notch on the panel. The device achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7%.
