Samsung’s latest
phablet is here, and it’s the first in the Note line to feature an all-screen
display, although it looks different to the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 Plus.
Its edge-to-edge
display technology is still called Infinity-O, but here the cutout for the
front-facing camera is situated in the center at the top of the phone’s screen,
rather than at the top-right. This placement of the single circular lens
creates a distinctly cyclops-like look – an eye gazing out at you like HAL in
2001: A Space Odyssey.
The Samsung
Galaxy Note 10 mobile features a 6.3" (16 cm) display with a screen
resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating
system. The device is powered by Octa core (2.73 GHz, Dual core, M4 Mongoose +
2.4 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A75 + 1.9 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A55) processor
paired with 8 GB of RAM. As far as the battery is concerned it has 3500 mAh.
Over that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 12MP + 12MP
+ 16MP camera . Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor,
Accelerometer, Barometer, Compass, Gyroscope. So, does it have a fingerprint
sensor? Yes, it does. For graphical performance that can make games run
smoothly, this phone has got a Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. On board storage is at 256 GB
with the option to expand the memory by Yes Up to 1 TB. Design is one of the
most important factors when it comes to mobiles. This phone is 7.9 mm slim and
weighs 168 grams.
- The biggest design change
compared to other Samsung phones is the introduction of a full-screen
display with a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera at the
top-center of the screen – the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus both have the
selfie camera at the top-right.
- The Note 10 has a 6.3-inch
AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution, coming in at 2280 x 1080 pixels,
with 401 pixels per inch. It includes HDR 10+ technology, and considering
that Samsung hasn’t opted for a QHD display here we’re impressed with how
the display looks.
- Some may not be fans of the
central placement of the camera sensor, but it’s arguably a lot less
intrusive than the notches you get on other popular phones, like the
iPhone XS.
- The Note 10 isn’t just smaller
than the Note 9, it’s also lighter and thinner. It measures 72 x 151 x
7.9mm, and at 168g it’s one of the lightest flagship Samsung phones
available.
- This is a Note that’s designed
for those with smaller hands, who want the top-end features such as the S
Pen stylus but don’t want a gargantuan phone that’s difficult to
hold.

Note 10 price is set at $949 (roughly Rs. 67,400), while the Galaxy Note 10+
starts at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 78,100) for the 256GB storage variant, and $1,199
(roughly Rs. 85,200) for its 512GB storage variant. Both the models will go up
for pre-orders in the US from today itself, and will start shipping from August
23.
On the other
hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G model is priced at $1,299.99 (roughly Rs.
92,300) for the 256GB storage version, and $1,399.99 (roughly Rs. 97,400) for
the 512GB storage version. It will go on pre-orders exclusively via Verizon in
the US from midnight on August 8, and start shipping from August 23.

As rumoured,
there's no headphone jack on the Galaxy Note 10 duo. Connectivity options
include Wi-Fi 802.11ax with support for VHT80 MU-MIMO and 1024QAM, which
enables theoretical upload and download speeds up to 1.2Gbps; LTE with up to
2Gbps download speeds (and 5G in Korea); Bluetooth v5; USB Type-C; NFC; and
GPS, Galileo, Glonass, as well as BeiDou.

10 and Galaxy Note 10+ pack an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner; an
accelerometer; a barometer; a gyro sensor; a geomagnetic sensor; a hall sensor;
a RGB light sensor; and a proximity sensor.

Note 10 has been provided with a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display that would be
great for watching videos and playing games. It has a punch-hole design and
bears an aspect ratio of 19:9. It has the delightful screen resolution of 1,440
x 3,040 pixels along with 534 PPI.
The device is
designed to be water-resistant and dustproof, which provide great reliability
in case of minor accidents and drops. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass v5
protection that will provide a scratch-proof screen.
Camera and Storage
The Samsung
Galaxy Note 10 has been provided with a primary camera setup of 12MP + 12MP +
16MP, which can deliver an extremely pleasant photography experience. There are
autofocus and other live effects that will enhance the picture quality. The
front sensor of 10MP can provide impressive selfies with the live filters and
effects.
To make sure
there are no issues with the storage of the device, it provides an inbuilt
space of 128GB and an external memory slot, which can be expanded up to 512GB.
Configuration and Battery
The Samsung
Galaxy Note 10 has been equipped with the octa-core processor having a clock
speed of up to 2.7GHz and an Exynos 9 SoC, which can deliver excellent
performance together. There is a Mali-G76 MP12 GPU that can handle the graphics
of the device and the massive 8GB RAM that ensures there are no lag issues
faced by the users.
